OIL / WATER HEAT EXCHANGERS

In the closed shell construction, water and oil alternately flow through the shells. In the open shell construction the oil flows through the paired shells and the coolant side remains open.

Both designs are used by the automotive industry to cool automobile engine oil and transmission oil. The closed heat exchanger can also be used for motorcycles.
